  32. Simtel MSDOS CDROM.  This disc contains about 660 MB of utilities,
  33. programming tools, source code, technical documentation, etc.  It
  34. includes the entire Simtel20 MSDOS Archive.  There is an index file in
  35. each directory, and a master index file in the top directory that
  36. describes each file.  The current edition of this disc was made in
  37. October 1993.  The next edition will be available once the future of the
  38. Simtel Site has been decided.  This disc is available by quarterly 
  39. subscription for $19.95 per issue plus appropriate shipping.  The single 
  40. issue price is $29.95.

  42. CICA Microsoft Windows CDROM.  This disc contains 640 MB of Microsoft
  43. Windows programs.  It includes hundreds of utilities, games, fonts,
  44. bitmaps, etc.  All are written especially for Windows.  It includes
  45. the entire CICA Windows collection from Indiana University.  Most
  46. of the files on the disc are in zip format.  This disc was produced in
  47. December 1993.  The next issue will be April, 1994. This disc is 
  48. available by quarterly subscription for $19.95 plus appropriate shipping.

  50.  
  51. Giga-Games CDROM.  Thousands of the finest sharware/PD games for MSDOS
  52. and Windows from the Giga-Games archive at ftp.cdrom.com:/pub/games.
  53. This disc contains over 3000 files, including arcade games,
  54. educational games for all age groups, adventure games, board games,
  55. card games and strategy games.  You can play many of these games
  56. either against the computer or against another human.  There are
  57. sports games, trivia games and word games.  There are lots of
  58. utilities and "cheat sheets" for commercial and shareware games.
  59. There is an easy to use shell that makes the disc easy to navigate,
  60. and each program has a detailed description.  This disc is set up for
  61. most popular BBS's.  The price is $39.95.
  62.  
  63. Hobbes OS/2 CDROM.  This disc contains the OS/2 archives from
  64. ftp-os2.cdrom.com.  There are over 3000 programs (650 MB).  Many of
  65. the same programs are also included as uncompressed files ready for
  66. executation right off the CDROM.  The files on this disc were
  67. downloaded in October 1993.  The next issue will be in stock the first 
  68. week of April.  This disc is available by quarterly subscription for 
  69. $19.95 plus appropriate shipping.  The single issue price is $29.95.

  71. GIFs Galore CDROM.  Six Thousand GIF images in dozens of catagories,
  72. including art, aviation, birds, cars, cats, flowers, fractals,
  73. military, people, raytrace, sci_fi, swimsuit, technology, trains,
  74. vietnam, and about twenty other categories.  There is no "adult"
  75. material on this disc.  Most images are 640x480 and in full color.
  76. Viewers are provided for MSDOS, Windows, Amiga, Macintosh, OS/2,
  77. SPARC, SGI, X11R5, and several other systems.  The price is $39.95.
  78.  
  79. Space and Astronomy CDROM.  Thousands of NASA images and data.  The
  80. images include pictures of the earth, the planets, satellites,
  81. rockets, distant galaxies, and nebula.  There are also thousands of
  82. text files, including information on asteroids, astronauts, NASA news
  83. bulletins and press releases since 1962, and the USENET sci.space
  84. archives.  A large collection of astronomy and space related shareware
  85. and PD software is also included.  The price is $39.95.

  87. Project Gutenberg CDROM.  This disc contains the etexts of Project
  88. Gutenberg for 1991, 1992 and Jan-Jul 1993.  The etexts on the disc
  89. include classic literature such as Aesop's Fables, Alice in
  90. Wonderland, Moby Dick, and Paradise Lost; Historical documents such as
  91. the Magna Carta, U.S. Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution,
  92. Inagural Addresses and many treaties; references such as Roget's
  93. Thesaurus, almanacs, census data, the CIA World Fact Book, and
  94. mathematical constants; religious documents such as the Bible, and the
  95. Book of Mormon.  This disc is available by semi-annual subscription
  96. for $24.95 plus appropriate shipping.  The single price is $39.95.

  98. Libris Britannia CDROM.  This disc was made as a joint project with
  99. the Public Domain and Shareware Library of Sussex, England.  It
  100. contains over 600 MB of up to date and very well indexed software.  It
  101. is biased toward the technical and scientific PC user and includes
  102. extensive sections on electronics, engineering, mathematics, medicine,
  103. ham radio, and other specialist areas.  PDSL acts as librarian for the
  104. UK C User's Group, and the programming section includes the UK CUG
  105. volumes.  The disc comes with a 124 page manual that contains capsule
  106. descriptions of about 100-250 words for each item, with information on
  107. version number, registration fee, and hardware required.  This disc
  108. was just updated in January, 1994, and costs $69.95.
  109.  
  110. QRZ! Ham Radio CDROM.  This disc contains the November 1993 US CALLSIGN
  111. DATABASE (in ASCII), PC (MS-DOS) compatible search and retrieval
  112. software, search by callsign, name, city, zip code, several output
  113. formats including screen, mailing lists, etc.  There are hundreds of
  114. popular ham related (shareware) programs and nearly 200 radio and
  115. scanner modifications.  Also included are USENET news articles from
  116. rec.ham-radio and rec.radio.amateur.{misc,packet,policy} since 1989.
  117. Also provided are complete dumps of several internet ham radio
  118. archives, Canadian and US CLUB callsigns, FCC Rules and Regulations
  119. (Part 97), DX lists, DXCC info, BBS lists, UNIX callsign
  120. database/server 'C' source code, SIMTEL20 Ham Radio Archive files, and
  121. vast amounts of useful reading information for the beginning to the
  122. advanced ham enthusiast.  This disc was made in December 1993.  The price
  123. is $29.95.
  124.  
  125. Aminet Amiga CDROM.  This disc contains the Aminet Amiga Archive, the
  126. AB20 Amiga archive, and comp.sources.amiga and comp.binaries.amiga.
  127. There is a total of 650 megabytes of Amiga software.  This disc was
  128. made in June 1993.  The disc Does work with the CDTV and is available
  129. by subscription for $19.95 per quarter.  The price is $29.95.
  130.  
  131. Info-Mac CDROM.  Over 10000 programs from Stanford University's SUMEX
  132. Archive, including desk accessories, games, virus-detection programs
  133. and commercial demos.  It is also jam-packed with graphics, sounds and
  134. Hypercard stacks.  For the more technically inclined, there are source
  135. code samples and entire program listings as well as technical
  136. documentation and discussions.  The programs on this CDROM are from
  137. Stanford University's Sumex-Aim Info-Mac Archive, one of the most
  138. complete and up-to-date collections of Macintosh software.  This disc
  139. is in HFS Mac format.  It was updated in December, 1993.  The price is
  140. $39.95.
  141.  
  142. C Users' Group Library CDROM.  C source code from the C Users' Group.
  143. Most code is for MSDOS, early volumes are CP/M, later UNIX.  Includes
  144. source code for editors, disassemblers, compilers, interpreters,
  145. communications, bbs', games, tutorials, libraries, etc.  Also all
  146. source code listings from the C Users' Journal.  CUG volumes 100-384
  147. are included on the disc.  Part of the proceeds of this CDROM go to the
  148. C Users' Group.  Made in December 1993, the price is $49.95.
  149.  
  150. Source Code CDROM.  This disc contains the Usenet source archives, the
  151. Simtel20 Unix-C Archive, and a large collection of MSDOS source code.
  152. There is a total of about 600 MB of source code.  It is mostly C, but
  153. also has some Pascal, Lisp, C++, Modula2, Fortran, Assembly, etc.
  154. This disc was made in March 1992.  The price is $39.95.
  155.  
  156. X11R5 and GNU CDROM.  This disc contains all the X11R5 Window System
  157. sources, including all the contributed software, all the GNU source
  158. code, and sparc binaries and libraries for the Gnu programs and the
  159. X11R5 server and clients.  The X11R5 sources are at patch level
  160. seventeen.  This disc is in Rock Ridge format, so full unix pathnames
  161. are visible on systems that support the RR extensions.  This CDROM was
  162. made in December 1992.  The price is $39.95.
  163.  
  164. The Nova CDROM Second Edition.
  165.  This new totally revised edition of the Nova will give you more
  166. applications, more source code, more fun and information. On this disc you
  167. will find utilities, games, fonts, sounds, music, PostScript and tiff
  168. graphics. Included on the Nova is the largest collection of public domain
  169. and shareware applications of it's kind. There is more applications then
  170. ever before and you will see why the Nova is one of the most popular CDROM
  171. for the NeXT platform. Each directory on the disc contains an index listing
  172. filename, version, author and a short description of each file. A central

  179. Nebula for NeXTStep Intel CDROM.  The largest collection of
  180. applications presently available for NeXTStep Intel in categories such
  181. as utilities, games, general productivity.  Also included are graphics
  182. files in Tiff, PostScript, Gif, and Login Panels format, as well as a
  183. large collection of fonts and sounds.  Programmers will be happy to
  184. note that almost all the applications on the disc comes with complete
  185. source code making the Nebula a valuable reference for NeXTSTEP
  186. programmers. A central index is included which can be used with
  187. Digital Librarian to quickly locate the file you're looking for.
  188. NeXTSTEP 3.1 or above for Intel processors is required to use this
  189. disc.  This disc was made in October, 1993, and costs $59.95.

  191. Linux Operating System CDROM.  Tired of MSDOS and Windows?  Try
  192. Yggdrasil Linux, a genuine UNIX clone with full source code.  Linux is
  193. based on the 0.99.13 kernel, GCC 2.4.5, Xfree86 1.3 (X11R5) X windows,

  205. Toolkit for Linux CDROM.  This CDROM contains a huge collection of
  206. utilities and documentation for Linux.  It also contains the complete
  207. Slackware Linux system, and many Xfree86 programs.  This disc was
  208. made in December 1993.  The price is $39.95.

  210. FreeBSD Operating System CDROM.  This CDROM contains the complete FreeBSD
  211. Operating System, release 1.0, a full 4.3 BSD compatible 32 bit operating
  212. system with features from 4.4 BSD.  It comes with XFree86 2.0 (X11R5 patch
  213. level 25 for the PC) and ready-to-run X11 utilities and libraries such as
  214. XView, XV, Tcl/Tk, JPEG library, etc.  Full Berkeley-style networking.
  215. TCP/IP, SLIP, PPP, telnet, ftp, gopher, archie, and industry standard
  216. NFS and YP services.  USENET News and mail reading software (elm and mh).
  217. Complete ANSI/POSIX-1003.1 compliant development environment - including
  218. kernel source, GCC C++ v 2.3.5, GDB, lex, yacc, f2c, profilers, Gnu
  219. emacs 19.19, perl, etc.  You get TeX 3.14, dvips, ghostscript, FlexFax
  220. fax software, ksh, tcsh, and bash shells, sc spreadsheet, Ingres database,
  221. etc.  Audio support for SoundBlaster, ProAudio Spectrum and Gravis UltraPro

  228. Sprite CDROM.  This disc contains the source code and documentation
  229. for the Sprite Network Operating System.  Sprite was a research
  230. operating system developed at the University of California, Berkeley.
  231. All the reseach papers from the Sprite project are also included on
  232. the disc.  This software on this disc is primarily intended for
  233. research purposes, and is not really intended to be used as a
  234. production system.  Boot images are provided for Sun SparcStations and
  235. DECStations.  The cost is $29.95.

  237. Ada CDROM.  620+ MB of documentation, information, and source code.  This
  238. disc contains the entire Public Ada Library (PAL).  With more than 5000
  239. files, this disc is an indispensible resource for any Ada programmer.
  240. Imagine the convienience of refering to the disc for all the Ada language
  241. reference manuals, a complete set of Ada language issue comments, the GNAT
  242. compiler, PC and Mac Ada/ED compilers, benchmarks, validation suites,

  247. Garbo MSDOS/MAC CDROM.  This disc contains the Garbo archive from
  248. Vaasa University in Finland.  It contains almost 400 MB of software.
  249. About 250 MB is for MSDOS, and about 150 MB is for Macintoshes.  The
  250. price is $29.95.
  251.  
  252. GEMini Atari CDROM.  2872 of programs for the Atari in 616 MB.  These
  253. files are for the Atari ST, TT and Falcon Computers plus a section for
  254. the Porfolio palmtop computer.  You also get text files and graphics
  255. for the Lynx and Jaguar video game system.  All programs are ready to
  256. run directly from the CDROM.  Each directory contains an index and a
  257. list of files to make it easier for a user to locate a file.  Programs
  258. and files in groups such as accessories, archivers, astonomy, database,
  259. utilities, fonts, games, gnu, programming, scree savers, virus, text
  260. editors.  50 megabytes of games and entertainment software.  15 megabytes
  261. of fonts.  Lots of source code.  You can install the GEMini CDROM on an
  262. Atari or MSDOS BBS.  All the noncompressed files have a compressed
  263. version in the zip folder.  BBS operators can easily make thousands of
  264. Atari files available to their users.  You get PCBoard, Opus, Wildcat,
  265. RBBS, Spitfire, and Maximus index files.  This CDROM was made in Dec
